We raise our chilli plants with heat level 4-7 ourselves as young plants in Illmitz, Burgenland, Austria. This category brings together varieties that combine noticeable heat with full flavour – a clear step up from mild varieties, but still easy to enjoy every day.

Medium-hot varieties in our range

This category includes the classic cayenne pepper plant, the compact Serrano, the lemony, fruity Lemon Drop chilli, the eye-catching Brazilian Starfish and the striped Sugar Rush Stripey and Zebrange. The range is rounded off by special varieties such as Aji Confusion, Costa Rica Orange and Rocoto Oculto.

Finding the right heat

Buying chilli plants at heat level 4-7 means deliberately choosing more heat than in mild varieties, without moving into extreme territory. If you prefer it milder, you will find what you need in our sweet pepper & mild chilli plants (heat level 0-3). If you want more heat, hot chilli plants (heat level 8-10) are the next step up.
