Bunny Kisses – special features of the variety
Bunny Kisses is one of the compact micro-dwarf tomatoes. The plant stays very low at around 25 to 30 centimetres, making it suitable even for spots where a classic cordon tomato wouldn't fit. Its dense growth is typical of the variety, not a sign of poor development.
Fruit, flavour and use
The small, oval fruit ripens red and tastes boldly tomato-like with a clear balance of sweetness and acidity. It suits direct snacking, salads, a light lunch or small vegetable skewers. Regular harvesting keeps the compact plant manageable.
Growing in a bed or pot
A container from around three to five litres is enough; a slightly larger pot makes watering easier on hot days. Bunny Kisses is not pruned, since the compact plant also flowers on its side shoots. Place in a sunny spot, water evenly, and feed only moderately. A small support can relieve the shoots under a heavy load.
A tomato young plant, raised by us
We raise the Bunny Kisses tomato plant ourselves at our family business in Illmitz. After shipping, the young plant should first stand in a bright, sheltered spot and be gradually acclimatised to direct sun and wind. It only goes outdoors permanently once no more late frosts are expected.
