The Trinidad Scorpion Peach is an extraordinary pale variant from the Trinidad Scorpion world. Instead of the familiar red ripening colour, it develops peach to pale orange fruit. Its heavily wrinkled surface still instantly reveals its closeness to classic scorpion superhots.
How hot is Trinidad Scorpion Peach?
Depending on the seed line and source, Trinidad Scorpion Peach is often stated at around 800,000 to 1,200,000 Scoville. That places it clearly in the superhot range.
We rate the variety at heat 10+++. Even the tiniest amounts can therefore be enough to give spice pastes, ferments or chilli oil extreme heat.
Trinidad Scorpion Peach or Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Peach?
Both the name Trinidad Scorpion Peach and Trinidad Scorpion Moruga Peach appear among seed suppliers. These names aren't always clearly distinguished everywhere. Higher Scoville values are sometimes cited specifically for Moruga Peach lines.
We therefore stick with the name Trinidad Scorpion Peach for our plant and treat Scoville figures as a guide, as long as no specific lab analysis of our line is available.
Peach or classic red?
If you're after the classic red type, we also carry Trinidad Scorpion Moruga. Another well-known alternative is the Carolina Reaper, the former Guinness World Record holder.
An extraordinary superhot for collectors
Trinidad Scorpion Peach is especially interesting if you want to combine extreme heat with an unusual fruit colour. Among red Reapers, Bhut Jolokia and classic Scorpions, the pale peach-coloured fruit sets a clearly different accent.
You'll find more varieties in this class among our super hot chilli plants (heat level 10+++).
